Last Concert of the Summer

Town commons were originally an open space in the center of a town where cattle and sheep could graze in relative safety from wild animals. It was also used for other town-wide activities which included outdoor concerts. Many New England towns built a bandstand on the town common and provided music for the summer holidays such as the 4th of July. In Eastham, concerts happen on Monday nights all summer long.
