Swimming with the Seals

Over the past thirty years, four species of seals have repopulated southeastern Massachusetts where they once were present prior to seal bounties which had virtually eliminated the seals from Cape Cod. Bounties were paid from 1888 to 1962 when you brought in the nose of the seal. Since 1962, their range along the Northeast Atlantic has led to a greater number of seals present in our local waters.
