Eastham Painters Guild

A Brief History

The Guild’s first show in 1980 was held on the lawn of the Eastham Library for resident artists of the town to display their work. Paintings were hung on wood and wire from old chicken coops and everyone sold a painting on the day of the show! The next year the Guild moved to the Eastham Historical Society’s Schoolhouse Museum and continued to hold shows there for twenty-four years. The Gallery grew and the chicken coop remnants were replaced with sparkling white display tents.

Eastham Painteres GuildOur first two shows will be held in the center of Eastham on the historic Windmill Green. Pull in at the windmill to visit this historic structure and peruse some of the best art on Cape Cod. In July and August, we return to the lawn of the Historic Schoolhouse directly across from the National Seashore's Salt Pond Visitors' Center. So, as the weather warms, look for our white tents and wonderful art.
