Karen Kollar

Karen_Kollar Karen paints in her studio near Cook’s Brook Beach expressing her talents by painting in oil the many scenes that overlook bay and ocean inlets and marshes.

She is a retired art teacher from Connecticut, now living on the Cape full-time. She has joined many artists on the Cape painting en plein air and has also taken many workshops from well-known artists from Provincetown to Orleans. She has studied white-line woodblock printing in Provincetown, the birthplace of the technique, and now produces these unique Cape Cod woodblock prints of her own.

Besides landscapes and historic sites from around the Cape, Karen likes to paint still lifes with a Cape Cod tone to them.
