As a farm boy living in Southeastern Pennsylvania, Mike enjoyed observing nature all around him as he explored the countryside. His appreciation for landscape painting began way back then!

Painting watercolors is Mike’s medium of choice. It is like a wild animal. It can be tamed but always is mysterious. He is constantly enjoying new techniques he invents, usually by accident.

Mike is now retired and living on Cape Cod. Plein air painting is his passion. Mike paints almost daily, weather permitting. You might find him painting at an iconic place or a mundane view of a marsh, trees, or simply a street or beach scene.
