Renee Jordan

Renee Jordan is a contemporary representational artist based in New England. After a long career in publishing, Renee is pursuing her professional art practice full time.

Her artistic expression has taken many forms throughout her life—drawing, watercolor painting and practicing calligraphy since childhood. In recent years, she has focused her artistic path on figurative, portraiture, and landscape painting in oils.

She has taken portrait and landscape workshops at the Cape School of Art and the Cape Cod Art Center and regularly joins fellow artists on the Cape for plein air painting and studio portrait experiences. Renee is a member of the Oil Painters of America and has exhibited her work at the Cape Cod Art Center in Barnstable, MA and at the Creative Center for Arts in Chatham, MA.

Artist Statement

Art is the introspective path on my life’s journey, I have an enduring interest in the power of creativity to foster mindfulness and empathy.  Through my art I seek to capture and experience reverence. It is how I feel joy, grieve loss, celebrate love, and appreciate the links between human and the divine. My work is deeply personal and reflects the curiosity I have for life, and through the process, allows for expressions of love and gratitude.
