The Art Scramble Fundraiser held two weeks ago at the Eastham Public Library raised over $8,000 for Cape Abilities.

“We are so grateful to the Eastham Public Library Art Committee for demonstrating their support through this amazing event,” said Peggy Boskey, Director of Community Engagement at Cape Abilities. “Their generosity will benefit the programs and services we provide for hundreds of individuals with disabilities not only in Eastham but all across Cape Cod.”
The event featured the unique paintings of noted artists from all over New England, including artists from the Eastham Painters Guild. More than 200 of these 5” x 7” images were on display in the Turner Gallery at the Library for the month of November, culminating in a public “scramble” into the library to purchase the paintings of their choice.
“We really appreciate Cape Abilities for what they do for us,” said Willow Shire, Artistic Coordinator at the Library and Eastham Painters Guild president. ”And for helping our Eastham residents and our family members, we really wanted to do something great for the organization.”
Unsold artwork created for this event is still available for purchase, with proceeds to benefit Cape Abilities. For more details or for questions, please contact Debra DeJonker-Berry, at 508-240-5950, or via email at ddejonkerberry@clamsnet.org
