November 2019 Guild Member News

Guild artists Rebecca Gmucs, Karen Kollar, Elaine Lobay, Pat Nickerson, Meg Schmidt, Jody Shyllberg, and Mary Anne Tessier have donated wildlife paintings to the Eastham Public Library‘s 2019 Art Scramble on Saturday, Nov. 30, to benefit Wild Care, a wildlife rehabilitation and advocacy organization on Cape Cod. 100% of the proceeds will benefit Wild Care and their programs. 5″ x 7″ paintings done by Cape Cod artists will be on display in the library for the month of November. A reception will be held 4-5:30PM at Chapel in the Pines and the scramble for the artwork, all priced at $75, takes place promptly at 5:30 at the library. One-of-a-kind birdhouses will also be available for sale.

Rebecca Gmucs painting The Read was chosen for inclusion in the Provincetown Art Association & Museum (PAAM) Juried Member Show. The show runs until December 1 at the PAAM in Provincetown, MA.

Guild artist Rebecca Gmucs and Jody Shyllberg have paintings in the Creative Art Center’s Member Show. Jody’s pastel Pounding Surf received an Honorable Mention in the exhibit, which runs until Nov. 21 at 154 Crowell Rd., Chatham, MA.

Jody Shyllberg‘s pastel Painting Sunshine was awarded First Place in Pastels in the Cape Cod Art Center All New England Juried exhibit.  The show and sale runs until November 9 in Barnstable, MA.

Jody Shyllberg received the Third Place award for her pastel First Encounter at Dusk in the Post Road Art Center October exhibit Landscape/Seascape.
